The Dean’s Fund/Greatest Impact plays an important role in INSEAD’s mission. Supporting immediate needs during the academic year, the fund sustains vital programmes and finances emerging opportunities. With its flexible funding, the Dean’s Fund/Greatest Impact enables INSEAD to attract the best students in need of financial aid, to launch cutting-edge research and to deliver exceptional student experiences in the classroom and beyond – at its core, to make investments that advance business as a force for good.

Breaking new ground
 
Some of these investments are dedicated to landmark innovation projects, such as the ground-breaking San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation which was launched on 27 February 2020, and the INSEAD LaunchPad@ STATION F launched in Paris in 2018, the world’s biggest start-up campus designed to nurture INSEAD’s entrepreneurial talent. 

Discovering the world

Other investments are dedicated to research, which is a critical lever for transforming business and society. It is through research that we bring rigour and relevance to the classroom; discover new ways of tackling global problems; reimagine the future of management; and equip the next generation of responsible business leaders. 

Some of the research projects recently enabled through the Dean’s Fund/Greatest Impact include a three-day Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Academic Conference that explored new ways to prepare future leaders for diverse environments; a study to understand differences in firms that hire unemployed workers versus employed workers; and a project examining perceptions of status within culturally diverse teams.
